About Me

Hey—I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a single dad who started taking my son abroad when he was 11. Our first trip? Brussels. All because he wanted an authentic Belgian waffle. That one trip turned into a tradition—one trip a year, then two. We’d explore new cities, figure out train schedules in languages we didn’t speak, eat whatever looked good (or weird), and chase the kind of moments that only happen when you’re far from home.

For about 10 years, we traveled the world together. Just the two of us. I wanted to show him the world—and ended up learning just as much myself.

Now he’s older, grown, and doing his own thing. So, I keep traveling. Sometimes solo. Sometimes with friends. But always with that same wanderlust we started with: stay curious, pack light, and don’t skip the wine and frites!

This blog is where I share those stories—past and present. Some posts will be about father-son adventures, others about solo travel, music festivals (yes, Pearl Jam shows tend to sneak into my plans), and all the lessons the road keeps teaching me.

Thanks for stopping by.
Feel free to comment, connect, or just read along as I keep exploring.

Thanks!
Blake
